HR Systems Adviser

Salary: £33,366 - £37,035 per annum (Grade 6)
Hours: 36.66 per week
Location: Hybrid Office base is The Spindles Offices, George Street, Oldham. OL1 1HD

Role Overview:
Working within the council’s HR team, you will be at the heart of the organisation supporting the Council to be data led and driving better workforce decisions and customer service by developing and maintaining the HR/Payroll system (iTrent) and associated systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake system administration including supporting payroll and element builds
* Support the development, testing and implementation of updates to systems and make recommendations for improvements and innovations to meet business needs
* Co-ordinate system administration requirements and ensure housekeeping tasks are carried out effectively
* Support system users in other teams, across the business and in schools including responding to queries that are received in the team and providing training to users on the iTrent system
* Identify opportunities to streamline existing processes and enhance the service we provide
Key Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:
* Experience of HR & Payroll systems, including implementing, developing, updating and maintaining those systems
* Experience of collating, manipulating and presenting management information using a variety of systems and report writing tools
* The ability to work effectively in a busy environment with a high degree of accuracy and a methodical approach
