Finance Partnering
To partner with the relevant business unit, building and managing relationships across the team. To facilitate efficient and accurate accounting and reporting whilst providing financial advice and support. Driving and challenging financial performance. Providing support and guidance to relevant stakeholders in review of Dashboard data.
Budgets
Work with Finance Reporting Manager and wider Finance team to develop the budget setting and reporting process. Work with Executive Director, Deputies and Budget Holders to formulate budget statements for each operational cost centre.
Forecasts
Work with the Finance Reporting Manager to create bi-monthly re-forecasting. Discuss with relevant stakeholders forecast tracking to ensure accurate positions are reported. Work collaboratively to identify early risks and opportunities on forecasting variances.
Management Accounts
Working within agreed timetables to produce accurate monthly financial statements and to review performance against budget for relevant business unit. To identify variances and work with budget holders to implement corrective action where necessary.
To assist the assistant management accountant with transactional processing to ensure accurate reporting. To review balance sheet reconciliations and guide assistant management accountant on necessary adjustments. To guide assistant management accountant on areas of adjustments to ensure accurate financial statements.
Approach to Work
Contribute to the smooth running, and positive working environment within the finance team and continually develop relationships with teams in the wider organisation.
