Make UK are looking for skilled engineers to join them to in providing essential training to the next generation of engineers, passing over your knowledge and experience to secure the future of manufacturing. As a further education provider, Make UK can offer an engaging and motivational workplace where you will provide mentoring and guidance to Manufacturing & Engineering apprentices.
The role will involve developing and delivering further education engineering subjects with qualifications including Pearson BTEC National Diplomas, EAL Vocational Awards, and City and Guilds qualifications. We have many opportunities, including; Electrical, Mechanical Maintenance, Lean Manufacturing, and Fluid Power.
Applications are welcome to individuals from industry looking to move into the education field, training will be provided.
Responsibilities to include:
* Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments
* Develop course materials including handouts and reference materials
* Deliver practical training to apprentices and adults
* Create a motivational learning environment
* Assess learners progress, provide constructive feedback and progress reports
Experience and skills required:
* Time served apprentice, relevant City and Guilds (part 3) qualification or full Technical Certificate or national Certificate or higher
* Level 3 (or higher) teacher training qualification (desired)
* A1 and V1 (desired)
* Industrial experience combined with knowledge of current industry and best practice standard (desirable)
* Good presentation and communication skills
