Job Description
The Head of Waste Compliance & Training will support in embedding the right skills, knowledge and capability into our Place-maker teams, managing and delivering services within an IFS structure.
The Head of Compliance & Training will be responsible for empowering contract teams through leadership, guidance and tools whilst simultaneously working with clients, supply chain and other internal stakeholders to collaboratively achieve excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Developing, managing, and delivering the ISS Waste Services legislative compliance framework
2. Conducting Duty of Care due diligence upon the external approved waste supply chain partners (both desk-top and site based) to ensure compliance. Manage actions and share due diligence with the business
3. Maintain/update the compliance related SharePoint resources, accessed by the UK operational teams
4. Develop operational based training and e-learning modules and TBTs suitable for ISS IFS teams and customers in conjunction with the wider Operational Performance Team
5. Support ISS operational teams in completing reviews of their contract’s compliance with legislation and ISS operational processes
6. Interpret how new legislation affects operational delivery and communicate changes and impacts via the production of business briefing notes and other mediums
7. Engagement with key clients providing support and advice which ensures their compliance with waste legislation
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
1. An in-depth knowledge of waste legislation and compliance
2. Experience in delivering information to a wide range of remote stakeholders
3. Experience in conducting Duty of Care due diligence audits
4. A good understanding of the waste industry infrastructure and operational delivery systems
5. Experience in developing and delivering processes and procedures
6. Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues, internal stakeholders, and supply chain partners
