Job summary This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the South East London (SEL) ICB (Bromley) Safeguarding Team as a Named GP for Safeguarding Children and Young People, working across a collaborative team which encompasses a think family approach to safeguarding. A key function of the role would be to continue developing the all age model of safeguarding across primary care. Main duties of the job The principle responsibility of the Named GP Safeguarding Children role is to promote and embed safeguarding of children across the local health system and within general practice, as outlined in the NHS England Safeguarding Accountability and Assurance Framework 2024. The Named GP will act as a professional source of specialist safeguarding children advice across Bromley Primary Care and will be required to work closely with the SEL ICB Designated Safeguarding Children Leads, Primary Care, NHS providers and Bromley Safeguarding Children's Partnership. We welcome applications from GPs who have a keen interest in safeguarding who are looking to develop their knowledge of safeguarding children and young people in a supportive, well established experienced team. Understanding and knowledge of policy developments within Child Protection and children services with regard to general practice.
