Staff Nurse (Outpatients)
Cromwell Hospital, London SW5 0TU
Full time- 37.5 hours per week
Paying up to £45, 480 per annum dependent on experience
Role Overview:
As a Staff Nurse you will ensure the provision of high-quality evidence-based nursing care in a clinical setting, the Staff Nurse will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and be responsible for the care they deliver within the Outpatient department.
What you'll do:
1. Participate in the delivery of a consistent, safe service in all aspects of the
patient journey whilst demonstrating a culture of customer service.
2. Manage care of allocated patients.
3. Demonstrate professional awareness and accountability.
4. Maintain requirements to ensure success in the Revalidation process.
5. Act as a Link Nurse in a designated area reporting to and from meetings/
training updates.
6. Recognise the needs for DOL’s assessments, mental capacity assessment
and ‘simple’ and ‘complex’ safeguarding referrals and highlight any concerns.
7. Liaise with the Support Services to ensure all non-clinical needs are met
including the cultural, sexual, religious, and any other special needs of the
patients.
8. Have a working knowledge of emergency policies including cardiac arrest
and fire.
9. Deputise for the Senior Staff Nurse in their absence.
10. Undertake clinical duties in any area that is reasonably requested ensuring
that you practice within your professional competencies and abilities.
What you’ll bring:
11. Registered General Nurse and NMC PIN required.
12. ILS qualification required.
13. Competent with immunisation training, wound care management and venepuncture.
14. Appropriate experience in a Staff Nurse role Outpatients experience.
15. Strong communication skills, written and verbal presentation skills & report
writing.
16. Pleasant and cheerful manner, being supportive and approachable.
