Job Description
Eden Scott's client is seeking Banking Office Administrator, for their office in Edinburgh. The successful individual will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest levels of client satisfaction through efficient back-office operations. You will handle administrative and customer service tasks that support the bank's day-to-day functions while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Process new account openings, closures, and amendments while ensuring all necessary documentation is in place.
* Maintain and update client records within banking systems, ensuring accuracy and data security.
* Perform due diligence and KYC (Know Your Customer) checks in line with regulatory guidelines.
* Handle domestic and international payments, transfers, and standing orders.
* Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies or transaction queries efficiently.
* Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and fraud prevention measures.
* Liaise with relationship managers and front-office teams to resolve client inquiries.
* Provide detailed responses to client queries via email and secure messaging.
* Assist in handling complex service requests, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
* Adhere to banking policies, GDPR, and financial regulations in all administrative tasks.
* Identify potential risks in client transactions and escalate concerns appropriately.
* Assist in internal audits and regulatory reporting as required.
* Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and client experience.
* Work closely with other departments, including finance, compliance, and IT, to ensure seamless operations.
* Support training and onboarding of new team members when required.
Key Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience in a back-office, administration, or customer service role within banking, financial services, or a regulated environment.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent data entry and record-keeping skill
* Understanding of banking processes such as payments, account maintenance, and compliance.
* Familiarity with financial regulations, including AML and GDPR.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise professionally with internal teams and clients.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure, meet deadline
