JOB TITLE: Support Worker
LOCATION: Covering Truro/Falmouth/Penryn area
SALARY: £24,187 - £26,874 per Annum

We are recruiting a person for the role of Support Worker within a housing environment. The Client is a large employer based in the South West providing jobs for around 1800 people delivering services across a variety of fields, always looking to add to their ever-developing pool of talent.

The Role:
Working as part of a larger Support team to provide responsive support services to people who have/are experiencing substance & alcohol misuse, mental ill health, fleeing domestic abuse, and any other challenging issues.
Liaising with other agencies regarding specific needs including Benefits, Mental Health, Substance Misuse, Housing/Estate Agents, and Education & Training.
Looking after customers offering a quality service to support people with complex needs and building open and trusting relationships.
Writing, reviewing, and updating support plans and risk assessments, using a motivated and positive approach.
The Candidate:
Experience in supporting people with various needs and backgrounds.
Ability to apply common sense to situations while being accountable for decisions made and reasons behind them.
Ability to establish and maintain relationships within internal and external partnerships, and with multiple clients and colleagues.
Maintaining records and putting action plans in place.
Experience of risk assessing and risk management.
Knowledge of Housing Support and experience working with vulnerable individuals, being able to read and assess difficult situations and provide solutions.
Ideally holds an NVQ LVL 3 in a relevant field.
Be resilient and adaptable.
Have an open, friendly personality and the ability to maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations.

A DBS is required for this role at Enhanced - Adult level.
