PAYROLL/HR ADMINISTRATOR – ROTHERWAS, HEREFORD

Currently we are looking for an enthusiastic Payroll/HR Administrator to join our dynamic team to assist in all administrative and payroll functions within the busy HR Department.
Role Responsibilities:
• Maintain Holiday and sickness records for all employees.
• Process holiday / cancellation slips in a timely manner.
• Update Sickness & Absence spreadsheet for monthly reporting.
• Process timesheets on a weekly basis, reporting overtime and absences.
• Liaise with internal managers to obtain back to work forms and timesheets to adhere to deadlines.
• Collate and process from inception to end monthly payroll information and calculations within set deadlines. Deal with statutory legislation including Auto Enrolment, SSP, SMP, P45’s, P60 and Tax Coding. Including data entry onto monthly payroll schedule tracker.
• Dealing with queries and engaging with 3rd parties such as Sage, HMRC, NEST pension provider.
• Supporting the payroll staff with ad hoc payroll projects and annual reports.
• Update Employee Personnel files and master database as required.
• Update Logbook as and when required recording all HR correspondence in department for processing. Collate and file paperwork as required.
• Complete new starter inductions and on boarding across sites.
• Produce contract documents and offer packs ready for hiring.
• Process starters, leavers, probations, promotions, changes to employee circumstances and references in line with Company procedures.
• Accurately maintain manual and electronic personnel files in a confidential manner.
• Answer general HR enquiries from external and internal sources e.g., references.
Job requirements:
• Prior knowledge of SAGE payroll is an advantage.
• Process monthly payroll, assist with yearend processing including P60s and P11Ds. Keep up to date with all payroll procedures including PAYE, RTI, Auto Enrolment and Statutory calculations etc.
• To be trained on the use of the Telephone Switch-board system in order to cover the Reception area in the absence of either Receptionist’s due to holiday, sickness or as and when required.
• A high level of discretion and excellent organisational skills.
• Approachable with a willingness to help.
• Good Excel knowledge, communication and managerial skills.
• Well organised, highly efficient and self-disciplined, this is a busy role, which will demand a high level of attention to detail.

• Full time position.
• Hours are based on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm with half an hour each day for lunch. No weekend, evening or bank holiday working.
