Domus are on the lookout for a dedicated Registered Manager to take the reins of Supported Living and Domiciliary service in Sheffield, South Yorkshire in an exciting new project. Backed by new investment, you will help manage the opening of brand-new adult Learning Disability Supported Living sites across Sheffield in this role.
The Registered Manager will manage and lead staff teams to provide support that enables the people supported to achieve the outcomes of their individual Person-Centred Care Plans, and the aims and objectives of the existing and new sites.
We are looking for a confident and competent individual who has experience liaising with key professionals such as social workers, health professionals, and other authoritative bodies as well as local authorities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an established Service or Registered Manager to lead a CQC service and grow alongside the provider, becoming a key manager within the group. If you have experience opening new services and are looking for a exciting new project, this might be for you!
Key Responsibilities of a Registered Manager:
You will be the Registered Manager with CQC and have thorough understanding of CQC regulatory activity.
Lead and direct the teams in person centered planning and support for the people we support, ensuring that tailored support plans are completed, reviewed, and continuously developed to meet individual needs, wishes and outcomes.
Ensure teams actively support and promote the health and well-being of people we support and that current issues or changes in health, behavioural, emotional, psychological, or mental health needs are reported to the relevant professionals and support sought if necessary.
Lead and direct teams to facilitate and empower independence of people we support.
Take an active role in the development and growth of the Organisation, supporting the business development objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in line with the Organisational strategic aims and objectives.
Maintaining a good local market knowledge of Sheffield, South Yorkshire to ensure that opportunities for the people supported are maximised and that the Organisation is aware of external changes that will affect the service(s) market position.
Be responsible for quality management and auditing of service delivery, maintaining accurate internal and external quality assurance records and completing any required improvement actions.
Ensuring effective financial planning and budgetary control for the service, liaising as appropriate with the Operations and Development Manager and the Finance Department.
Registered Manager Requirements:
Level 3 Social Care qualification. (Minimum essential required) or equivalent.
Willing to work towards NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
An existing Service Manager or Registered Manager with Supported Living or Residential experience.
Experience of working at a supervisory level in care/support setting within the last 3 years.
Lots of experience working with people with Learning Disabilities or Complex Behaviours.
Good knowledge and practical implementation of CQC regulations.
Ability to recognize, challenge, and remedy bad practice.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Confident, flexible, and efficient. Happy to work on a shift basis, and on call where required.
Ability to set and work to deadlines.
Excellent level of people management skills.
Management skills to main the service to a high standard.
Computer skills in Microsoft office particularly word, excel, outlook and the internet.
Excellent level of organisation skills.
Ability to demonstrate clear communication skills both verbal and written.
