We are inviting applications for a number of Hourly Paid Lecturers to join our inspirational team at Oxfordshire Adult Learning (OAL), a large, award-winning faculty of Abingdon and Witney College.
Our provision is diverse and includes an extensive range of leisure learning courses, community learning courses, family learning courses, and accredited courses which lead to recognized qualifications. Our courses are delivered at our campuses in Abingdon and Witney, as well as in community venues across Oxfordshire.
We are currently looking for tutors to teach the following subjects:
1. Photoshop - various courses starting as follows:
Beginners course at our Abingdon campus, starting on the 7th November 2024 at 7pm.
Intermediate course at our Abingdon campus, starting on the 6th February 2025 at 7pm.
Beginners course at Cherwell School, starting on the 13th January 2025 at 7pm.
Intermediate course at our Abingdon campus, starting on the 28th April 2025 at 7pm.
2. Digital Skills - We deliver a wide range of digital skills courses from very basic beginners' levels to level 1 and 2 qualifications. Topics include Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). The Digital Skills for Life course aims to empower those with little or no digital skills to communicate using a phone, tablet, or computer while covering online safety.
Hourly Paid Lecturers are responsible for planning courses, delivering inspiring lessons, keeping records of learners' progress, and participating in development activities to enhance their teaching, learning, and assessment skills. The College offers a comprehensive staff development programme to support tutors in developing their practice.
You do not have to be a qualified teacher but must be knowledgeable and passionate about your subject area. Opportunities exist to gain a recognized teaching qualification.
In return, Abingdon & Witney College offers excellent benefits to employees, including generous pension and holiday schemes, continued professional development, flexible working options, corporate gym membership, cycle/tech scheme, and much more.
If you would like to discuss any of these opportunities, please contact Heidi Jordison: heidi.jordison@abingdon-witney.ac.uk.
