Based in Leyburn, we are a 2nd generation family run home care business established in 2002 and operating with clients across North Yorkshire, with some live-in clients all over England. Our clients are mostly self-funding, but we also have North Yorkshire funded hourly care clients, as well as some NHS funded care. Trainee Care Coordinator
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic trainee care coordinator to be based in our Leyburn office. As the trainee care coordinator, you will work as part of our care coordinator team, reporting to the Registered Manger, and you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of service, ensuring Premiere Cares clients and carers receive an excellent, well managed and efficient service.
The successful candidate will be well organised, computer literate and with a confident, caring approach to dealing with the public, both over the phone and in person. They must be a car owner / driver with a full UK driving licence and it is desirable (but not essential) that they have some past experience of working in the care industry. We will provide in-depth training on our systems and process, as well as care training and experience for those who do not have prior experience.
Job Description
Managing carer availability and ensuring clients care needs are being appropriately met
Home assessment of clients and their needs and drafting care plans
Maintaining administrative records on the online and office filing systems
Managing emergency care cover as and when needed
Covering the on call, on a rota basis.
Dealing with new client and carer enquiries
Promoting our values and quality assurance
Dealing with complaints
Person Specification
One years experience within a domiciliary care service (desirable)
Well organised with good attention to detail.
Ability to think on their feet and remain calm under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills, experience of sensitively dealing with people over the phone and in person
IT literate
Ability to work as part of a team and work unsupervised
Must be a driver with access to their own car
