An amazing specialist school in the heart of Hillingdon is on the hunt for a Behaviour Support Worker to join their team starting ASAP.
The school hiring a Behaviour Support Worker:
1. Cater for children who have been diagnosed with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and barriers to their learning.
2. Focus on helping these children access their education in the same way as their mainstream peers.
3. Each child has an individualised plan and curriculum.
4. Facilitate and focus on providing specialist education, where educators and the multi-disciplinary team provide personalised and specific interventions to support learning.
5. Offer a supportive environment where you will be making a difference day in and out.
6. Participate in rewarding work while adding valuable experience to your CV.
What the role as a Behaviour Support Worker entails:
1. Facilitating and providing specific interventions to aid in the children’s learning.
2. Facilitating a safe and secure environment for learning to take place.
3. Encouraging students to achieve the best they can academically, while also adding to their personal growth.
4. Keeping track of their academic achievements.
5. Having a good understanding of the importance of safeguarding.
Qualities you will need to be a great Behaviour Support Worker:
1. Being kind, caring and compassionate.
2. Having a determination to make a difference in the lives of the students.
3. Being patient and willing to adapt your approach to meet the needs of the students.
4. Experience working with children, especially children with SEN, will be advantageous but not essential.
5. Having an enhanced DBS check; we can facilitate your application if you don’t have one.
