Job description Central to the VCAs digital and technology services, managing and maintaining the core infrastructure that underpins production services, you will play an active role in an operational capacity. Your skills in cloud-based platforms and IT architecture will be at the forefront of your daily work, responding to and resolving allocated incidents and problems. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will need to be able to adapt and work flexibly with your team to ensure you are able to meet deadlines and manage conflicting task priorities. As the VCA continues to transform its technology and digital services, to improve workflows and user experience, you will be encouraged to contribute to the development and improvement of these digital platforms, services and infrastructure; working closely with staff, customers and stakeholders in the UK and overseas. Person specification Essential Technical Knowledge in the following key areas or comparable equivalents; IT architecture, infrastructure and cloud services. Microsoft 365, Dynamics, SharePoint, device management, Exchange Online, Teams telephony, Azure, SQL, Intune, PowerShell and Microsoft tools. Microsoft Windows 10/11 implementation and management Microsoft Windows Server management. LAN/WAN connectivity, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless (Cisco, CLI). Virtualization, storage arrays, IT core technologies (AD, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP) Backup and storage technologies. Disaster Recovery solutions. Endpoint management, imaging, asset management and encryption technologies. Awareness of a service management framework such as ITIL Experience of delivering high quality technical service to end users. Experience of managing and maintaining cloud/hybrid infrastructure. Additional Information This role is suitable for hybrid working, and therefore a combination of workplace and home-based working can be accommodated subject to business requirements. Hybrid working is a non-contractual arrangement where employees have the flexibility to work remotely combined with a minimum of 60% of their working time a month at either their principal workplace (one of the locations cited in the advert) or, when required for business reasons, visiting stakeholders and colleagues, or carrying out detached duty in another VCA workplace.
