Main purpose of the position:
With a diverse Global portfolio including Data Centres, World class campus sites and retail outlets that span the 5 regions of; U.K, America, India, Europe and Asia Pacific our challenge is to be consistently excellent in delivering the highest quality of Technical Services.
The scope of Technical Services comprises of four key focus areas: Asset management, Critical Environment management, compliance services, and change management. These are underpinned using technologies and methodologies that enable data capture and data analysis creating value solutions.
Reporting to the Global Account director, the Global Technical Services Director will be responsible and accountable for Technical Services delivery across the global portfolio, through both in-house teams and supplier partners. Having global operational responsibility for governance and assurance, all aspects of operational risk, maintenance, compliance services, critical environment management and the development and implementation of strategic operating models supported by the deployment of technologies that drive efficiency benefit to both ISS and the Client.

What you will do:
Account Management:
* Be the single point of contact for Technical service delivery and the escalation point for the appointed client stakeholder(s).
* Be accountable for the Technical Service delivery to meet all contractual obligations.
* Manage relationships with key stakeholders in the Client’s organization.
* Develop and implement the Technical Services account business plan which meets the Client’s and ISS objectives.
* Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of Client’s business and key factors influencing their requirement for our services.
Supplier Management:
* Ensure all third party suppliers are competent and have the right levels of capability to operate within a complex and critical portfolio.
* Provide relevant License to operate (LTO) training to supplier network as necessary.
* Build a network of suppliers and manufacturers to understand market-wide issues, providing Technical bulletins to the global community.
Operational Management:
* Be responsible for the embedment of technology and systems to support service delivery.
* Support the development and ensure effective implementation of standard operating and maintenance procedures and processes for the account.
* Drive client specific initiatives such as savings targets, benchmarking and best practice.
* Source, transfer and implement best practices to the account from both Group excellence and wider ISS community.
* Drive global consistency across the account in reporting, standard operating procedures, systems and HR practices.
* Ensure adherence to the IFM Master Service Agreement and all Technical Services deliverables.
* Be responsible for the achievement of the critical/key performance indicators and service levels agreements.
* Implement and manage the change control process.
People Management:
* Ensure Technical Services is certified by the recognised external governing organisation where relevant.
* Ensure engineering practices are continuously compliant with legal, statutory and contractual obligations.
* Ensure effective and timely implementation of training plans to enhance and develop the skills of technicians and Engineers.
* Enforce a zero tolerance to unsafe working practices to target a goal zero accident rate.

Key qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in a Building Services Engineering related field.
* Minimum 10 years relevant working experience in a critical facilities operation with at least 5 years in a senior management position.
* Excellent knowledge of risk management model approaches and frameworks.
* Specific knowledge of current legislation and mandatory standards relating to safe working practices.
* High standard of Engineering knowledge and experience, particularly in major complex buildings.
* Technical/specialist knowledge in Engineering Management, operating at a senior technical level.
* Qualified to a Chartered member of a relevant professional institution.
