Our core shifts are;-
6:30am -3.30pm
2:30pm - 11:00pm
You will join an experienced team who support David across a seven day rota.
You must be ok to work two weekends per month or if it suits you better you can do every weekend.
Outline
You'll be supporting David* a 25 year old enthusiastic young man. He has developed his independent living skills and with your support he is hoping he can continue his progress. He enjoys days out, exploring and spending time at home, gardening. You will support him to manage his finances and develop his domestic life skills. You will need to have your own car as David needs assistance travelling to and from college and his volunteer job. There is only limited personal care involved with this role but he does appreciate some help washing his hair.

About you
So what do you need to do this job? It's not about experience, it's about having the right personal qualities of empathy and patience, and being willing to learn. Most of our support workers reckon they find out a lot about themselves from doing this work, as well as learning all the practical skills involved in finding out the best approach to support someone else.
You must be a driver with your own transport which is insured for business use.
