We are looking to recruit a Chef Supervisor to our team to support the chef manager at Kirkwood Hall in the delivery of service to our customers and in its commercial development working with local sourced, fresh produce. The role As a not-for-profit housing organisation we provide a comprehensive range of services to over 6,000 homes, and the four extra care schemes within the group deliver on site catering and hospitality service to a diverse range of customers. Within this position, you will lead and motivate the onsite catering team to deliver the catering and hospitality service at our extra care schemes ensuring we deliver an efficient and cohesive catering and hospitality service across the Broadacres group. You will be responsible for the front-line delivery of brand standards from food preparation, cooking and service delivery taking in to account the nutritional needs of older people and those with individual dietary requirements. You will monitor costs, rotas, waste management, and equipment plus you will support and assist in the delivery of the companys food safety management system (HACCP), ensuring temperature control records and food labelling are complied with. About you We are looking for a Chef / Catering Supervisor with demonstrable experience of working within the catering industry and supervising a frontline team. You will have: Demonstrable experience of working within the catering industry and supervision of a frontline team An understanding of budget and financial control methods. Experience of supervising a team in the catering industry. Strong communication skills Knowledge of commercial kitchen operations NVQ level 3 in professional cookery or willing to work towards CIEH Level 2 Certificate or higher in Food Hygiene What we can offer in return: Sociable Hours (shifts in the main between 8am and 5:30pm) with 1 in 3 weekends Cooking with fresh ingredients and regional produce Extra day of annual leave for birthdays totalling 33 days (inc. bank holidays).
