Fulbridge Social Care is recruiting Experienced and Trainee Residential Youth Workers to join our casual team. The role involves working in children’s residential homes and Independent Living settings. We are looking for flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals eager to work in a specialized environment where full training and qualifications are provided.
The position entails providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to young people with challenging behavior and complex needs, aiming to create an environment that caters to their intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
You will work with young people aged 11 to 18 who have been placed into the care system for various reasons and who exhibit a range of disorders, behaviors, and needs. We seek individuals with confidence, patience, and the necessary skills to make a positive impact on their lives.
Responsibilities include supporting young people throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, education, and shopping. You will also interact with professionals like Social Workers, Probation Officers, and Police Officers, supporting young people in environments such as classrooms, courts, and police stations.
A valid driving license is essential, as you will be required to drive the unit's vehicle and transport young people to destinations such as family contacts, school, and social activities.
Applicants must complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully finish our induction program before placements are offered.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Build strong professional relationships with service users and staff
2. Maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for young people and staff
3. Stay updated with all communication and information systems
4. Participate actively in meetings
5. Support young people in managing their behavior using approved skills
6. Promote equality and acknowledge individual differences
7. Protect service users from abuse by staff, visitors, or other service users
8. Prepare accurate reports for reviews and maintain written records for monitoring
9. Attend all required training and work towards relevant qualifications
10. Attend work reliably and punctually, following a set shift pattern
11. Stay informed about procedures and policy updates
12. Ensure health and safety for yourself and others
13. Perform additional relevant duties as required
