About the Role: Start Date: January 2024 Contract: Full-time, ongoing Pay Rate: £162–£251 per day (dependent on pay scale and experience) Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring all learners achieve their full potential. Plan, prepare, and teach lessons that support students' understanding of literature, grammar, and creative writing. Use data-driven strategies to track progress, identify areas for development, and implement effective interventions. Encourage critical thinking and effective communication through group discussions, debates, and written work. Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and department initiatives, such as reading clubs, writing competitions, and school productions. What We’re Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. A proven track record of teaching English at secondary school level, including experience with GCSE specifications. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. A passion for English literature and language, and the ability to inspire students to engage with the subject.
