About the role:
Responsible for managing a team of Field Sales Executives to ensure the team delivers against targets set for sales revenue on parcels, sales activity, profitability, and product mix across their own region and in line with DHL eCommerce UK expectations and performance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive strategic direction aligning with overall commercial strategy.
2. Communicate new initiatives that help to deliver improved customer margin.
3. Set clear performance expectations and provide guidance and support to a team of Sales Executives.
4. Regularly attend client meetings with each team member to provide coaching and feedback and help close the business.
5. Ensure customers adhere to agreed volume levels and take a proactive approach to monitoring.
6. Ensure new business implemented is trading to 80%+ of their profile for revenue and parcel mix.
7. Maintain strong collaboration and coordination with all departments within DHL eCommerce UK.
8. Provide timely and accurate customer revenue and volume forecasts.
9. Participate as required in training courses, sales assessment days, and regional team meetings.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Minimum of 5 years in a sales role with preferred people management experience.
2. Strong presentation skills.
3. Ability to work under pressure, identify, and achieve set deadlines.
4. Analytical skills in data pre-processing.
5. Experience in a similar role, specifically regarding account management and new business sales.
6. Experience working within the parcel delivery sector is a distinct advantage.
