GSS Plant LTD, a multi-disciplinary marine services provider based in Scotland, is looking to recruit a civil engineering manager, preferably with marine construction experience.
The company carries out significantly varied projects for government and blue-chip clients UK wide.
As our order book grows, we are seeking an individual to join our experienced team.
The applicant should have experience in the delivery of civil engineering projects in a challenging environment. Demonstrable experience of marine-based project delivery would be advantageous.
Applicants should be qualified to degree level with all relevant site and HS&E certification. Excellent IT skills and proficiency in MS Excel & MS Project are essential.
An ability to assist in the preparation and adjudication of tenders is essential for the role. Site-based working and managerial skills are a prerequisite. Experience in NEC contracts, along with managing associated contractual & payment mechanisms, is required.
The position would be primarily based at the head office in Silverhills, Rosneath, with some home working permitted. The ability to work away from home at sites is essential on a national basis, as is a driving license.
GSS has the ability to self-deliver projects with in-house marine capability and dive teams.
Works include pier and jetty refurbishment, piling, cable installation, pipeline installation, marine demolition/deconstruction, mooring work, and fender work.
This is a permanent full-time employed position. A competitive salary can be offered to the right candidate.
