Are you passionate about driving process improvements and leveraging systems for automation? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accounts Analyst to join our dynamic team on a 12-month fixed term contract basis.
About the Role:
As a Senior Accounts Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and control of accounting records. You will develop your skills to become a subject matter expert on processes and elements of the ledgers. Your contributions will be vital in achieving the team's vision, purpose, and objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
* Produce accurate reconciliations and analysis to support Balance Sheet control, including investigations and corrective activities.
* Drive incremental improvements to reconciliation processes and reduce outstanding reconciling items, with a focus on validating the accuracy of the base ledger.
* Accurately produce and process journals to assist in the accounts process, ensuring robust understanding of drivers and flows.
* Be responsible for interacting with other business functions across the group in respect of issue resolution and process design
* Deliver project work to time, quality, and required outcomes while balancing business-as-usual activities.
* Develop a strong understanding of accounting principles and Royal London’s operational processes.
* Be actively involved in process related to; data planning, sourcing, collection, processing, cleansing, analysing, and reporting.
About You:
* Proven experience in driving change and improvements.
* Ideally qualified in a relevant field.
* Strong data planning, sourcing, collection, processing, cleansing, analysing, and reporting skills.
* Ability to articulate and explain analysis to stakeholders, including recommendations.
* Competent in use of Finance Systems and wider Microsoft Office package
