About the opportunity
* Supports students in placement – Acts as a bridge between the university, students, and field agencies, ensuring students receive appropriate learning opportunities and support during their placement.
* Conducts site visits & evaluations – Regularly checks in with students and field supervisors, conducting site visits, assessments, and problem-solving any challenges that arise.
* Ensures educational & ethical standards – Helps integrate social work theory with practice, ensures compliance with ethical guidelines, and facilitates reflective learning through supervision and feedback.
About you
* A Social Work degree qualification recognised by The Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
* A minimum of 5 years post graduate, social work practice experience.
* Varied availability during office hours and a willingness to travel to agency sites (within reasonable distance of your base).
* Conduct a minimum of two site visits and regular check-ins with students and supervisors throughout the placement period.
* The ability to facilitate communication with multiple stakeholders with time limitations.
Note: A current National Police Clearance Certificate, Working with Children Check, and “C” class driver’s licence will be required by the successful applicant.
