Finance Manager
La Fosse is partnering with a leading FTSE 100 Business on the lookout for a Finance Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing financial and commercial support to a designated business sector, influencing strategic decisions and high-profile initiatives. Through strong business partnering, you will enhance service levels, drive cost efficiency, and add value to commercial activities. Additionally, you will contribute to solutions that support broader organizational goals.
Responsibilities
* Partner with key stakeholders, both financial and non-financial, to drive strong commercial and operational decision-making while managing financial risks and opportunities.
* Support the implementation of subsector and sector strategies, contributing to broader organizational objectives beyond day-to-day contracts.
* Provide proactive, ad-hoc financial analysis with clear insights to support informed decision-making within the business unit.
* Identify, assess, and manage financial risks and opportunities related to volumetric and contractual mechanisms, ensuring continuous monitoring of business performance.
* Deliver in-depth analysis of key financial reports, including month-end reports, business reviews, client reports, budgets, cash flow analysis, and other ad-hoc reports for discussion in monthly reviews.
* Support operational teams by providing training on business reporting, enabling them to better understand and enhance their financial performance.
* Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews for areas of responsibility, escalating key risks and opportunities to senior stakeholders as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
* Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with 1+ year PQE.
* Experience of management accounting inclusive of accounting adjustments, producing reports/analysis to support commercial decision making.
* Analytical and with a high level of attention to detail.
* Experience of business partnering non-finance professionals to support the delivery of sound financial information.
* Experience of training and mentoring junior team members.
* Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
* Excel Macros and VBA.
* Experience of SAP and Cognos as analysis and reporting tools.
* Industry experience gained within a multi-site multi-contract complex organisation.
