What you'll do
1. Drive the Product Architecture strategy on device and end-to-end ecosystems on business-critical products.
2. Pro-actively manage critical, complex, and challenging situations across product areas and territories.
3. Participate in Technical Design Authorities (TDAs).
4. Provide insight and support as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across Sky's product portfolio.
5. Ensure that product architectures for Sky products are innovative, robust, scalable, and supportable.
6. Mediatate and build consensus with other teams to prioritise Product Architecture solutions.
What you'll bring
1. Strong inter-personal and relationship-building skills with a track record of managing stakeholders; being open, flexible, and pragmatic without compromising the solution quality.
2. Development experience to at least Senior or Principal Software Engineer level.
3. Hands-on experience of investigating and developing solutions for complex architectural problems; able to work closely with development teams in technical investigations, particularly at an operating system level.
4. Broad knowledge of STB or TV technologies, with experience in one or more of the following areas: Embedded software, Security, Platform provisioning, API design patterns.

Your office space
Primary: Osterley. Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway, and South Ealing tube stations. There are also plenty of bike shelters and on campus, you'll find 13 subsidised restaurants, cafes, and a Waitrose. You can keep in shape at our subsidised gym, catch the latest shows and movies at our cinema, get your car washed, and even get pampered at our beauty salon.
Leeds is home to two Sky offices; our contact centre and digital tech hub at Whitehall, and our Central Square customer sales centre right at the heart of the city. Our modern spaces, with subsidised cafes and dedicated break-out spaces, provide a balance for our hybrid working teams. Need a break? You can blow off steam over a game of pool or table tennis, or stay fit with local gym discounts.
Livingston Watermark House is a lively campus a free shuttle bus away from Livingston South train station and the town centre. Plus there's onsite parking available for cars, motorbikes. You'll be well fed at our subsidised canteen, and you can keep in shape at our onsite gym - or play a game of pool or table tennis.
Brentwood location takes some beating: we're practically in Brentwood station, which has regular trains to London Liverpool Street. If you find it easier to drive, there's some onsite parking, while Chatham Way car park is a short walk away.
Thomas More Square: Our Tech, Product and Data teams sit across from Tower Bridge in the heart of Hill. Underground Station is a 10-minute walk away, while Wapping and Shadwell train stations are 15 minutes away. Bike shelters and showers await those who prefer two-wheeled transport.
Brick Lane is in the heart of the East End of London. It's part of a vibrant and diverse community; close to street food, cafes, and shops. The closest tube station is Aldgate East and Liverpool Street is about a 10-minute walk.
