Retailer Finance Manager
The role holder is responsible for the management, analysis and reporting of the Retailer network financial data that is provided to BMW and MINI UK as part of the monthly International Finance Corporation (IFC) submission, via the global Dealer Benchmarking system. This role supports the development and maintenance of a long-range planning framework, which delivers a profitable Retailer network for BMW and MINI Car Sales and Aftersales.
What awaits you?
1. Management of the monthly IFC reporting, ensuring that all Retailers have accurately reported their trading performance to the strict reporting deadlines.
2. Management of the IFC provider (ASE/Edentity) on all aspects of service level, IFC change requirements, data verification and analysis review.
3. Primary contact for all initiatives and planning with BMW AG concerning IFC local solutions and IFC Worldwide reporting and initiatives.
4. Promotion and development of best practice sharing, including the hosting and delivering of off-site events for the Retailer Accountant community.
5. Development and management of the financial information held within the UK Retailer KPI Dashboards.
6. To act as the "Champion" for all IFC issues/questions and to drive process and system clarification and simplification.
7. To revise and update reporting as appropriate to ensure that only relevant data is published, e.g. additions of latest models, split of MINI IFC, split of corporate department reporting etc.
8. To identify and report upon trends and anomalies within the Retailer financial data at both a micro (individual dealer) and a macro (group/region/network) basis. To provide insight into national trends to the Management and Retailer Committees.
What should you bring along?
1. Graduate level with a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA).
2. Proven and relevant accountancy and/or financial experience and acumen.
3. Proven and relevant experience of working with a motor manufacturer or in the retail motor industry at a senior level.
4. Expert level of knowledge of data management, reporting and must be able to communicate confidently at all levels within the National Sales Company, as well as be able to influence key Retailer stakeholders (Owners, Franchise Directors, Heads of Business, Line Managers & Accountants).
5. An understanding of the BMW and MINI retail environment would be preferable.
