We work with schools to deliver PE lessons as PPA cover, PE lessons where we train teachers/school staff, lunch and after school sports clubs, holiday camps and wraparound care, creating a positive impact in the communities we serve.
What We're Looking For:
We have a full time role available. We’re seeking a dedicated, reliable and passionate Sports Coach or individual with experience in sports and education to join a small, growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the expansion of TeachSport South West and build a brand within the business. You will teach and coach in different schools, deliver wraparound care, coordinate and manage holiday camps and there is a flexibility to work from home two mornings a week for the successful candidate.
The role involves two key areas:
Delivering high-quality physical education, school sport, physical activity and childcare:
· Teach PE lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
· Team Teach & Mentor (teacher training) school staff in PE lesson.
· Lead engaging lunch and after school sports clubs.
· Lead, coordinate and manage holiday camps.
· Deliver wraparound care and support the management of this.
· Inspire children to develop their skills, confidence and love of physical activity.
· Engage with schools, children and parents/carers.
Support business growth by building relationships with schools and stakeholders:
· Promote our services to increase participation and engagement.
· Take part in business development initiatives, ensuring TeachSport continues to expand its reach and impact.
· Lead Social Media and Marketing aspects.
· Work on Projects and Administration tasks.
· Support recruitment for all areas of the business.
· Collaborate to grow and expand the business.
We’re looking for people with:
Essential qualifications and skills:
· Sports Coaching qualifications or equivalent.
· Experience teaching or coaching PE in a primary school setting.
· A passion for inspiring young people and a commitment to their development.
· Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
· A valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
· A desire to be part of a small, growing business.
· A full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable skills and experience:
· Knowledge of curriculum PE, sports club management, wraparound care management or holiday camp coordination.
· Access to a laptop/devise to work from.
· A valid Safeguarding certificate and First Aid certificate (not essential as TeachSport can obtain these).
· A positive, proactive attitude with excellent organisational skills.
