We are currently recruiting for an experienced Instructor/Trainer to work as a Blended Learning Officer on a long-term, full-time contract in Manchester. The role is based with a UK Police Force. Applicants must have a UK Drivers Licence, and access to their own vehicle. The role is paying £18.21p per hour (PAYE) and applicants will be subject to national security police checks. Job profile: The Blended Learning Officer is to develop learning solutions using new technologies providing the Police Force and external customers with high quality learning and development services. Main Responsibilities: To research and review learning technology solutions to provide more efficient and effective ways of using technology to enable learning, presenting ideas, concepts and solutions to the team leader and Senior Leadership Team. To deliver on branch objectives and KPIs supporting the Senior Leadership Team in overall branch performance to ensure that there is a link between force priorities, branch priorities and the day to day training delivery in branch. Maintain contact with the Branch's customers and users to ensure continuous improvement in relation to cost, quality, productivity and service delivery. Develop innovative solutions to achieve new ways of developing and delivering learning. To be responsible for effective communication of technology assisted learning. To be responsible for validating and evaluating the effective use of technology assisted learning to ensure continued efficiency and effectiveness of the service in meeting identified needs of the customer. To ensure the branch maintains the technology and resources required at the correct specification and standard. To work in other areas of the Learning Services team as directed by team leader or Senior Leadership Team. Prepare reports and briefing, draw conclusions and make recommendations as required by team leaders through to the Senior Leadership Team in relation to training and technology resources Carry out learning development meetings with customers to design and develop learning materials. Use a range of software packages and techniques to development documents, videos, animation or other such similar materials for inclusion in interactive eLearning programs. Prepare and operate all video equipment for recording of video footage, undertaking editing of video footage with creativity and imaginative flair. Create online assessments, track completion and compliance using online systems. Develop new assessment and evaluation strategies for use in learning programs. Design and develop simple use of animations or templates for use in eLearning Design and produce learning materials such as posters, notices, leaflets, graphical illustrations, flash animations, PowerPoint etc. Research, consider and identify alternative training methods by liaising with accreditation bodies, other forces, colleges, publications etc Experience: Worked as a trained/qualified instructor, developed/conducted a range of training courses for various levels of staff. Experience of producing learning materials incorporating a variety of learning methodologies. Experience of assisting learning delivery staff in integrating the quality assurance processes within learning programs.
