About Us: This is a rewarding opportunity to work within Dudley Disability Service which is a developing and motivated team delivering strength-based assessments and identifying support with a focus on inclusion and independence. This is a new way of working which enables a whole life approach to be taken when meeting the needs of people with learning disabilities and/or autism, and physical disabilities.
We Are Looking For An ATM To:
* Provide professional leadership to a team of social workers and others to ensure that the service provided is effective and is delivering positive outcomes.
* Lead and develop the behaviour and practice of team members and others to ensure high quality and effective social work practice.
* Facilitate collaboration with people who use services, their carers and families and a range of professionals from disparate organisations.
* Support the team to work with people in a strengths-based, person-centred way focusing on strengths rather than deficits.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the performance and practice quality of a designated team.
* Undertake delegated budgetary responsibilities as determined by the Team Manager/Head of Service.
* Contribute to the development of practice, policies, and procedures across the Directorate.
* Promote innovation in practice and be an exemplar of best practice across all tiers of the workforce.
* Adhere to legislative requirements and Council Policies and Procedures.
* Be responsible for the professional development of team members by developing an environment that promotes learning and practice development.
* Maintain confidentiality.
* Establish and maintain a safe practice environment.
* Promote equal opportunity, diversity, and community cohesion to meet Council, Directorate and Service objectives.
* Participate in personal performance review and development, undertaking training programmes as appropriate.
* Oversee and lead safeguarding investigations, chairing case conferences and strategy meetings as appropriate.
* Comply with Health and Safety legislation and the Council’s Health and Safety policies.
