Job summary
Maternity Tobacco Dependency Advisor
Being pregnant and having a newborn baby is a significant event in someone's life and a time when women may want to make healthier choices. Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? An opportunity has arisen for a Band 4, Maternity Tobacco Dependency Advisor (TDA).
The role will involve providing tobacco dependency advice and support, assessing for and recommending tobacco replacement products, and working with pregnant women that smoke to set a quit date and stop smoking. This is a unique opportunity to join a newly developing service. This is a full-time position initially working Monday to Friday.
You will be supported within the role by the Public Health Lead Midwife and Senior Midwifery Team. The Tobacco Dependency Advisor will be responsible for supporting women that book their pregnancy at SaSH throughout their pregnancy and into the immediate postnatal period.
