Role: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Salary: Up to £40,00 p/a (dependent on experience)

Are you an experienced Assistant QS looking for a fresh challenge and opportunity to further grow and develop your career.
We have an exciting new opportunity with our client, a well-established civil engineering firm with national coverage.
They are looking for an Assistant QS to support the Senior Quantity Surveyors working on a diverse range of civil engineering schemes including infrastructure, highways and bridges amongst others.
Key duties:
Assist with preparing plans, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
On-going cost analysis of maintenance and repair work
Feasibility studies of clients requests
Assist with preparation of estimates and analysing sub-contractors quotations
Assist with preparation and agreeing variation accounts
Prepare and issue certification for contract payments to sub-contractors
Assist with providing evidence for resolution of disputesRequired Skills:
The ideal candidate will have be a highly organised and motivated individual with strong negotiation and communication skills.
Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a civil engineering environment and undertaking the commercial function for active contracts.
Must have some working knowledge of NEC forms.
