Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Therapeutic Services Manager to lead our well-being and therapeutic provision for students. In this key role, you will oversee the therapy and well-being team, ensuring that all students have access to high-quality mental health support to help them thrive academically and personally. You’ll collaborate with staff, students, and external agencies to design and deliver evidence-based interventions that foster emotional well-being, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all. What You'll Do: Lead and manage therapeutic services, maintaining compliance with statutory and clinical standards. Provide day-to-day leadership to the therapy team and the Well-Being Coordinator. Manage a caseload of students, delivering therapeutic interventions and coordinating additional support to promote academic engagement. Oversee the referral process, working closely with internal and external partners to ensure student needs are effectively triaged and addressed. Develop and implement therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of students aged 16-19. Ensure safeguarding protocols are followed and contribute to the college’s safeguarding responsibilities. Monitor and manage service demand, capacity, and waiting lists, ensuring continuous quality improvement. Participate in the development of policies related to mental health, equality, diversity, and inclusion. Who You Are: You have a post-graduate qualification in psychotherapy or counselling (minimum Diploma level) and are registered with a professional body (UKCP, BACP, HCPC). You bring a minimum of two years’ clinical experience working with young people and managing complex cases. You have robust experience in safeguarding, risk assessment, and multi-agency collaboration within an educational context. You’re a skilled communicator, able to work with students, staff, parents, and external agencies effectively. You’re organized, adaptable, and thrive in a team environment, with a passion for improving the well-being and life chances of young people.
