A leading provider of defence and high-tech solutions are seeking a skilled Commercial Manager to join their team in Cheltenham in a hybrid capacity on an initial 6 month contract.
This role requires an adept commercial professional with a strong background in contract management and defence sector regulations, who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing commercial activities, ensuring compliance, and driving business success within our Defence division.
Key Responsibilities
Lead commercial negotiations and manage the contractual lifecycle for high-value projects.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and suppliers to drive value and achieve strategic objectives.
Provide expert advice on commercial and contractual matters, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
Develop, review, and manage contracts and bids, ensuring risk mitigation and profitability.
Act as a key liaison between stakeholders, managing expectations and aligning contracts with project deliverables.
Report on project and contract status, identify potential issues, and make recommendations to senior leadership.Skills and Experience
Eligibility to gain SC or DV clearance
Experience in commercial management, ideally within the defence sector or similar high-compliance industries.
Strong understanding of UK MoD / US DoD contracting frameworks, Defence Standards, and regulations.
