About the Role:
Wirral Council's Environmental Health Service carries out a wide range of public protection duties including food safety, health and safety, pollution control, animal health, and shellfish bed classification. There is currently an opportunity within the team for an Environmental Health Officer to assist in the delivery of all the service's statutory functions.
About the Candidate:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual, with the capacity to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines, to provide a high-quality service to the public, the business community, and external organisations. We would like to hear from you if you have excellent communication and negotiating skills as well as sound knowledge of Environmental Health legislation.
While the job description states that the Certificate of Registration of the Environmental Health Officers Registration Board or equivalent is required, we would like to hear from applicants who are willing or are currently working towards becoming a Registered Environmental Health Practitioner with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. The successful candidate will require a full Driving Licence.
