Your Role as Head of Development
We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Development to join our team. This senior role is responsible for delivering our supported living development programme in line with our development strategy. You will play a key role in managing relationships with commissioners, providers, and a dynamic development team, ensuring the successful commissioning and management of professional services, and driving financial and performance targets.
As Head of Development, you will lead the supported living development team, oversee the development process from inception to completion, and ensure the integration of corporate policies, such as health and safety, equality, and diversity, into every aspect of our work.
The role will primarily involve working from home, with regular meetings at various office locations and occasional travel to meetings and development sites across the country.
This is a permanent contract, working 36.25 hours per week
What You Will Bring:
* A degree or equivalent qualification in building, construction, or design (MRICS, MCIHM, RIBA, MRTPI, or similar).
* At least 3 years of experience in development project management, including new builds, supported housing, and refurbishment schemes.
* Proven experience managing a team and leading development projects.
* Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cashflow management, and cost analysis.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements in development and construction.
* Strong organisational, project management, and communication skills.
* Experience working with strategic partners and stakeholders at all levels.
