Job Title: Engineering Supervisor CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, are recruiting a Lead Engineer to join the team located in Nottingham. The successful candidate will be able to apply a risk-focused maintenance approach and operations of plant and systems in data centres/critical environments and general office environments. Role Summary: - Provide leadership and supervision of an in-house team of engineering staff for a defined contract. - Ensure business policies and processes are effectively communicated and implemented within the site. - Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions, and that both Client and Company health and safety policy and process are effectively implemented across both in-house and subcontractor's activities. - Drive a culture of first-class customer service across your site, and ensure effective relationships are harnessed with key Client contacts. - Assist the Technical Manager to ensure the site is staffed by fully capable teams, ensuring post holders are competent, and that effective succession planning arrangements are in place. - Identify business risks and issues, adopting appropriate counter measures to minimise downtime and exposure for both the Company and Client. - Work with other operational Leads (Company and Client) to ensure the collaborative development of the business, effective teamworking, and support to colleagues. - Implement appropriate control measures, such as inspections, to ensure statutory, policy, and contractual commitments are met. - Provide leadership and guidance, advice, coaching and direct support, where required to deliver best practice selection, training, assessment and recognition/reward. - Promote and maintain the core Values of the Company. - Deliver effective business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management and team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other publications, as appropriate. - Assist in financial planning and performance; including, the preparation of accurate budgets and forecasts, and annual operational and capital spend plans; effective Supervision of WIP, debt, cost reduction and contract growth, ensuring targets are met and exceeded. - Ensure that opportunities for the strategic development of the contract are developed, to deliver increased turnover and profitability through additional services and projects, and that contracts are re-won on re-tender. - Drive innovation and best practice, using knowledge, industry experience and advances in technology. - Support the Client to maintain their business' continuity and physical security. - Support the development of workplace standards to create an agile and engaging working environment. - Responsible for driving engineers to complete work orders in real time to ensure time spent on problem assets are highlighted to the client. - Responsible for driving the tagging of work orders to assets to understand how many times problem assets are breaking down. - Responsible for driving engineers to condition assets every time they complete a ppm/reactive. - Responsible for driving engineers to raise corrective work orders off the back of ppms to understand how many parts are being replaced on problem assets. - Accountable for the correct issue and monitoring of ATW/Permit to work systems. - Responsible for ensuring the safe method of work practice (SMOWP) check sheet is completed for all sub-contractor activities. - Responsible for ensuring all PPE inspections are carried out and recorded. - Responsible for ensuring correct PPE is ordered as required and issue logs are maintained. - Responsible for ensuring all PPM / EW activities have site specific risk and method statements, communicated to site teams and recorded as read and understood. - Responsible for ensuring all site inductions are carried out and recorded for both sub-contractors and CBRE staff, inductions to be renewed yearly. - Responsible for ensuring tool lists are kept up-to-date and regular inspections carried out and recorded. - Responsible for ensuring vehicle inspections are carried out and recorded, all findings to be reported to manager. - Responsible for compiling small works quotations and ensuring webquote process adhered to and monitored. - Responsible for driving energy innovation and reduction. - Responsible for ensuring all provided hardware to team is functioning correctly and action any issues raised - Responsible for ensuring plantrooms and workspaces are kept clean and tidy - Responsible for day to day subcontractor management including checking RAMS, Competencies, permit issue and supervision of works. - Assist project team with project works on-site, liaison between project team manager and client stakeholders to ensure a One Team approach. - Act as a point of escalation for in and out-of-hours issues and incidents across your site.
