Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer FM – Scotland\n\nJob Description\n\nAn opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer to join a Tier 1 Facilities Management Business.\n\nIdeally, you will be based in or around the Edinburgh area. You will be required to undertake planned maintenance of Electrical plant/equipment, and associated equipment, Mechanical plant & building fabric repairs as directed by the managing Team. You will be working as part of a team covering the Royal Edinburgh Hospital.\n\nWhat you will be doing:\n\n * Monitoring of Planned Preventative Maintenance, ensuring statutory compliance at all times.\n\n * Ensuring reactive, PPM tasks are completed on time\n\n * Support Management with additional works for the client, building repairs and lifecycle maintenance.\n\n * Carry out Electrical planned/reactive/additional works in clients’ buildings, including minor works, repairs, fault finding and fault diagnosis.\n\n * Ensure compliance with the Electrical Installation Regulations (17th/18th Edition Regs) at all times, and that the appropriate materials are used.\n\n * To be fully conversant with all aspects of electrical installation works.
• Attend any tasks issued which may include non-electrical jobs for which the post holder has the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake.\n\n * To liaise with other staff and Sub-contractors as necessary to ensure the timely completion of works within agreed operational targets.\n\n * Carry out and complete all works to high quality standards and in a competent manner in accordance with Health and Safety Standards, Clients Policies and Procedures and with the property being left in a clean and tidy condition.\n\n * To complete accurately all works allocated via a portable electronic device and update all tasks in a timely manner.\n\n * Attend Tool-Box-Talks, training and meetings as required by management.\n\n * To act at all times in accordance with the rules, policies, procedures and financial regulations.\n\n * Working hours will be based Monday to Friday and will include participation in an on-call rota covering one weekend in four.\n\n * Working hours will include occasional holiday cover and sickness cover\n\nAbout you:\n\n * Electrical Qualification - 17th Edition as a minimum although 18th Edition training will be provided if required\n\n * Working as part of an FM team in healthcare experience would be advantageous\n\n * Experience within a facilities management/ Hospital environment.\n\n * The successful applicant clearing a PVG Disclosure check Time served apprenticeship would be essential
