The role
We’re looking for a Paralegal to join the litigation arm of our Employment and Immigration Team, the largest Employment team in Wales. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of employment issues, where you’ll gain exposure to some of the most complex and challenging cases in the UK, supporting one of the firm’s key clients.
Key Requirements
1. Assisting fee earners with managing a varied and extensive caseload.
2. Coordinating the caseload in an organised, methodical manner from initial referral to final hearing.
3. Ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the caseload.
4. Maintaining a comprehensive case-tracker spreadsheet.
5. Keeping clear and up-to-date records to support senior fee earners with reporting requirements (monthly, quarterly and annually).
6. Adhering to timescales and deadlines, effectively with fee earners and ensuring reminders are diarised.
7. Coordinating documentation, liaising with clients, external companies and internal teams.
8. Conducting legal research and preparing precedent documents.
9. Drafting correspondence, attending client meetings, preparing notes and following up on action points.
10. Supporting colleagues with all aspects of employment tribunal litigation, including complying with case management directions, attending hearings and liaising with Counsel.
