Job Purpose
As part of a dynamic high-performing team, the Agricultural Advisor (AA) plays a key role in Bioresource (Biosolids, Water sludge and other products) recycling and disposal.
Working in a defined geographical area, AA is responsible for the development and maintenance of the United Utilities landbank for Bioresource products. Developing and maintaining a proactive relationship with the farming customers and providing excellent customer services is a key part of the role. It is anticipated that the marketing and promotion of Bioresource may involve selling the product to customers in the future.
AA also coordinates the recycling logistics with haulage contractors and liaises with wider stakeholders including public, customers, regulators (Environmental Health, Environment Agency etc.) and other UU colleagues.
The role holder will be looking after our Southern land bank mainly the farmers around the East Midlands and East Anglian area.
This position involves frequent travel within the southern landbank areas of the North West region, for farm visits and other related activities. As a result, regular attendance at the base location is not always required.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Landbank Expansion and Product Promotion:
* Expand the UU landbank within a designated geographical area to ensure sufficient land availability for Bioresource products.
* Promote and market Bioresource products as directed by the UU marketing plan.
Customer Service and Relationship Management:
* Provide excellent customer service to our farming customers, including advisory on Bioresource products, agronomic benefits, and regulatory support.
* Develop and maintain proactive relationships with farming customers.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
* Ensure compliance of our Bioresource recycling and disposal operations with the UU internal Code of Practices, Biosolids Assurance Scheme (BAS), and relevant regulations.
Stakeholder Liaison:
* Liaise with wider stakeholders, including the public, customers, regulators (Environmental Health, Environment Agency), NFU, etc.
Operations Coordination and Auditing:
* Coordinate and supervise recycling operations carried out by in-house staff or contractors to ensure adherence to agreed quality standards and procedures.
* Conduct periodic operational and health and safety audits on contractors.
