At Marshalls Cross Medical Centre, you'll be part of a supportive and high-performing Partnership, working alongside an experienced clinical and administrative team. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with GPs, Nurses, Patient Care Advisors, Pharmacists, District Nurses, Community Matrons, and Social Services to provide exceptional care for our 7,000 patients, including residents of three care homes.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct clinical assessments, take patient histories, diagnose, and provide treatment plans.
2. Perform and interpret both invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests.
3. Prescribe safe and effective medication within the legislative framework.
4. Deliver expert care and decision-making to meet patients' needs.
5. Develop and lead specialist primary care services for long-term conditions like diabetes, asthma, and heart disease.
6. Collaborate with the general practice team to achieve high-quality patient care and service delivery targets.
Clinical Responsibilities:
1. Provide advanced levels of clinical practice, knowledge, and skills in General Practice.
2. Undertake history and physical examination to accurately assess the patient’s clinical condition.
3. Request, interpret and act upon relevant diagnostic tests and procedures.
4. Interpret, convey, and act upon complex and conflicting information to MDT members/patients/relatives.
5. Act as a clinical expert providing continuous support to the nursing staff and other MDT members.
6. Maintain comprehensive, contemporaneous, and accurate clinical documentation.
7. Manage acute life-threatening conditions in accordance with current ALS guidelines.
8. Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, clinical, and audit meetings.
9. Act autonomously, referring to appropriate specialists/care agencies.
Leadership and Managerial Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that the patient experience remains the focal point for service improvement.
2. Provide support for nursing staff in relation to clinical support to complaints and investigations.
3. Contribute effectively to service developments both within the Directorate and at strategic level.
4. Act as a role model by demonstrating excellent communication and listening skills.
5. Promote effective team working within the team along with nursing and medical staff.
