Shift Pattern: 8am - 8pm or 8pm - 8am

As a Senior Care Assistant, your role is crucial to our home. You will drive a team of Care Assistants that deliver high-quality, personal care to our residents, inspiring, developing, and nurturing them every day. You’ll be motivated, positive, and possess great interpersonal skills, enjoying working in a close-knit team. You are pivotal in running a unit and working with the Nurse to aid with clinical duties.
You should have completed or be working towards an NVQ3 in care. Previous experience in the role is essential, along with knowledge of its rewards and challenges. A passion for making a real difference in people’s lives, providing kindness, personalised support, and dignity is crucial.
You will receive training on all aspects of our new digital care system, which is transforming how we work and allowing you to focus on clinical excellence and care for our residents. We are committed to continually training you in the social care developments you need to do your job, learning from some of the best people in the industry.
You’ll help us make health happen by:
1. Taking day-to-day responsibility for running a unit.
2. Supporting with clinical duties, including assisting the nurse to observe, issue medication, review care plans, and maintain accurate record keeping.
3. Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including being responsible for all shift handovers.
4. Helping with training and supervision of new staff members.
5. Building relationships with residents, their families, and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses.
6. Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties.
