Our client is recruiting for a skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to work in their busy warehouse. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring that orders are shipped on time and accurately. Salary - £28,500-31,000 depndant on experience Hours - Sunday 08:00 - 16:30, Monday-Thursday 09:30-18:30 (fixed) Location - Walsall (WS2), newly built state of the art Warehouse As the Warehouse Supervisor, your key responsbilities will be: Assist in running an efficient warehouse operation to meet operational and customer demand and set targets Ensure inventories in the area of responsibility are accurate and stock movements are recorded accurately Resolve warehouse issues, escalating when necessary Produce regular reports and statistics as required and review ways to reduce waste Assist in planning future capacity requirements and ensure health and safety standards are met, carrying out risk assessments Liaise with Customer Services to resolve delayed orders and troubleshoot dispatch issues Perform administrative duties, customer service, and work with the Warehouse Outbound Team to complete orders on time Manage sales order allocation, replenishment, and batching, ensuring clarity with the support of the Warehouse Leadership Team Key areas of the role: Communicate with staff regularly to make them aware of priorities, targets, and operational requirements. Manage time and attendance for operatives within the area of responsibility and support the Warehouse Manager with people management issues. Be resilient and welcome change Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies Support and monitor performance and progress to ensure targets are met and report progress updates Engage the interest and participation of others and have a collaborative approach to working with others Proactively contribute to the team and be actively committed to the team's development Be self-aware and optimistic, showing openness and honesty in all dealings Key skills and attributes required for this role: Supervisory and Team Leader skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and supervise others within a warehouse environment. Meticulous and process-driven with creative problem-solving skills. Proactive forward planning and strong computer skills. Time management and prioritisation with flexibility in working hours. Knowledge of WMS systems and deliveries experience. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Organizational skills and previous dispatch experience. Initiative-taking, enthusiasm, and a team-player attitude.
