Your future role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Alstom UK&I Quality Leadership team. The role will report into the UK&I Cluster Quality Director and sit on the 1st line Quality leadership team in driving the quality execution to successfully deliver the product with the highest levels of quality to our customers.
You will provide the governance framework for the analysis of Quality Performance, the definition and execution of action plans and the validation of the improvement impact. You also will support the delivery of effective and efficient projects to help the organization change and grow.
The role will work across all sectors (RSC / Services / DIS) and work closely with the central European teams.
We’ll look to you for:
* Align priorities and strategic plan for standardization and improvements to maximize the performance of the function
* Define, implement and maintain the framework for management of process performance (Kx, DFQ, DPu, CONQ and other core processes)
* Lead the oversight / governance of DFQ across UK&I working with the Sector QD.
* Follow-up on the functional plans and their alignment with the defined strategy and targets
* Support for Quality governance and other activities of the team
* Provide KPI and status on Quality performance and develop improvement targets
* Support Quality department with Core IT solutions (ODyC, Qliksense, PST, PPRS, ILEARN)
* Analyse Quality Performance for improvement opportunities identification and coordinate initiatives across other Business sites
* Monitor and tracked Quality department core competencies alignment to those from Quality Academy
* Deliver and Onboard new Team additions with relevant Alstom Induction and competency plan within the first three months of enrolment
* Support APSYS (Internal Improvement program) for the Quality deployment to ensure process compliance and maturity growth in line with Global and local targets – leading shop floor improvement programs, development of COP and sharing of best practise across UK&I and understand BP in other Alstom sites.
* Supporting Central Quality in the clarify cation of standards and improvements.
* Hold, facilitate, lead and drive specific Kaizen improvement projects to drive a step change in performance and building in the quality.
* Support the UK&I Quality leadership team with specific improvement projects to drive process compliance, quality improvement projects.

* Broad understanding into operational Quality activities for example – inspections, customer interactions, working in cross functional teams to define, implement and improve quality at the point of manufacture.
* Good communicator and have experience in dealing with Customer Quality activities.
* Be agile and be able to adapt to situations quickly, find solutions and be a team player.
* Experienced in managing Quality tools and problem-solving tools such as 8D.
* Proven in leading, owning and facilitating Kaizen projects
* Black Belt Six Sigma qualified, or equivalent is desirable.
* Excellent IT knowledge with Power BI, IT systems to allow data inputting, program mapping, and data analytics to drive visibility to trends, and areas of focus.
* Be able to operate at a senior level to resolve and elevate improvements and remove roadblocks.
* Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with industry trends
* Must be able to project manage and be able to operate to a structured methodology, holding others to account, short interval control approach to move the team forward and development / deployment of key Quality processes.
Desirable:
* ODyC, Qliksense
* SAP/GSI knowledge
* Experience in Rail Industry.
* Knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices
