This role involves working in Business Doncaster, the Council's economic development unit to lead Business Doncaster’s approach to the low carbon sector, driving the attraction of low carbon businesses to Doncaster, and supporting existing businesses to accelerate their decarbonisation plans to deliver new investment and job creation.
The post holder will be responsible for generating major sector specific enquiries through a proactive and systematic process of lead generation, professional enquiry handling, and working with key partners across central government and within the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority. The post holder should have experience of delivering outcomes related to Inward Investment and Economic Development, as well as working with businesses on the sustainability agenda and good working knowledge of the regional and national support mechanisms in relation to investment and business support. The post holder should also have excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. The post holder is expected to be flexible and responsive, working to the needs of the service at all times.
