Job overview
WTWA, Trafford, Withington and Altrincham hospitals are a division of Manchester Foundation Trust and the Facilities staff employed provide an integral service to the smooth running of the Division. We are now looking for staff to work at our Trafford site and occasionally cross site work if needed at WCH and AGH to help us to continue to deliver excellent support services.
As a Facilities Assistant, you will deliver a full and comprehensive cleaning and service to the wards, departments, clinics, and non-clinical areas within the main Trafford site as well as WCH and AGH when needed.
As we are a hospital facility, the successful candidates may also be expected to work on bank holidays and weekends.
Main duties of the job
* Provision of cleaning services within a Hospital/Healthcare environment whilst working closely with Ward/Department staff to ensure a high-quality service provision.
* To maintain high standards of cleanliness to all Wards and departments, which include high and low dusting, damp mopping, dust control mopping, cleaning of sanitary areas, cleaning of beds, lockers, tables, chairs, fixtures and fittings, cleaning of kitchens, and supporting the catering team with the collections of patient meals trays at ward level.

Person specification
Knowledge
* Ability to understand and be able to carry out instructions to set specifications.
* Good knowledge of food safety.
Qualifications
* GCSE to include Maths and English or equivalent experience.
* Level 2 cleaning building interiors (or equivalent), Customer Care Training, Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
Training and experience
* Demonstrate basic knowledge of Health & Safety.
Skills and Abilities
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Good written and spoken English.
* Able to adapt to meet service needs.
