HVAC Equipment Contract Technical Assistance with specialisation in Fans, and HVAC equipment packages role C Hybrid - willing to work up to 3days in the office (Maximum - schedule may vary) Based in Bristol Full time hours Competitive Salary Description of the expected service: • Technically overseeing the HPC HVAC equipment contract (HK2721), with a specific focus on the equipment follow-up, in close collaboration with the EPR-E layout and HVAC system teams, the contractor, as well with our client NNB. • Carrying out the surveillance of detailed studies provided by the Contractor relating to the motor fans design. (1st priority of the role’s activities) • Carrying out the surveillance of detailed studies provided by the Contractor and associated HVAC manufacturing equipment like fans, motors, filters, water coils, dampers, (surveillance of drawings, procurement specifications, manufacturing, maintenance, assembly, and testing procedures), (2nd priority of the role’s activities) • Serving as the representative of the Responsible Designer HVAC contract team in various meetings with NNB and the supplier. • Reporting on the progress of equipment technical open points during fortnightly dedicated meetings with the contractor and our client. • Coordinating and conducting technical assessments of the Contractor requests as Non-Conformance Report, Exemption Requests, Technical Queries. • Managing the processing of modifications, including monitoring progress, using performance indicators, and generating reports when needed. • Managing CTS (Change Transfer Sheet) issue to NNB according to the schedule. Technical Skills requires: Essential: • Mechanical, Nuclear Engineering degree or equivalent qualification L4 or L5 • Minimum of 5 years’ experience of HVAC equipment design engineering, or relevant experience. • Knowledge and experience on motor fans design (important for the role) • Knowledge of HVAC system and equipment sizing (AHU, fans, filters, water coils) (important for the role) • HVAC knowledge of Pressurised Water Reactor system design principles • Experience of working on an EPR project, operating plant or on an industrial site • Ability to effectively manage own and team’s workload to meet the deadlines and KPI forecast. • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, both written and orally, in English • Proactive and confident in communicating with others, particularly those based in remote offices • Ability to prioritise, manage numerous tasks with other stakeholders. • Experience in technical, cost, and schedule management of high-value technical contracts. • Experience in project configuration management. Desirable qualifications, experience and skills: • HVAC knowledge of Pressurised Water Reactor system design principles • Knowledge of nuclear safety classification • Experience of working on an EPR project, operating plant or on an industrial site • Knowledge of UK licensing requirements for a nuclear reactor
