Support Worker, - No Experience Needed!
Location: Royston, Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border
Salary: £11.72 ph. to £12.20 ph (linked to competency and qualifications) Plus £1500 Welcome bonus *
Hours: 4 week rota pattern – Average 40hrs per week for full time and flexible part time shifts/hours available including weekend only hours.
Training: Full training is provided and once passed probation we will support and fund you completing Level 3 diploma in Residential Child Care.
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a large SEN school, which is looking for a number of Care Workers in Royston. The school is a children’s home and provides education, care, and therapeutic support for children and young people aged 9-19 years with severe and profound communication difficulties associated with conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, brain injury, and degenerative disorders.
Key Duties
* Providing exceptional high levels of care during all daily activities such as washing, dressing, socialising, learning, and personal care.
* Assisting with therapy sessions such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy.
* Communicating effectively and building strong relationships that empower the children and young adults to grow and develop.
* Ensuring that the environment is safe, supportive, and enjoyable.
* Helping develop their learning and social skills wherever possible.
It is a tough yet totally rewarding role. Ultimately, the school is looking for people with a passion to build relationships and positively change the lives of the children and young adults that they work with. Previous experience would be beneficial; however, it’s not essential. What’s more important is demonstrating the right attitude to make a difference.
