The School of Sport and Travel is in search of a full-time or 2 x 0.5 contracted L1 Vocational Studies Lecturer(s) who possess a strong passion for positively impacting the lives and careers of our students.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to create a diverse array of learning materials for both practical, theoretical & pastoral lessons that effectively engage and inspire students to achieve and progress to Level 2 qualifications. Confidence in contributing to a team dedicated to continuous improvement is essential.
Responsibilities include teaching and supporting various L1 Vocational studies Units such as:
· Being organised
· Developing a Personal Progression Plan
· Working with others
· Researching a topic
· Making a chemical product
· Contribute to running an event!
· Communicating with customers
· Investigating crime scene evidence
· Getting people active
· Keeping active and healthy
· Communication skills for health and social care
· Exploring local visitor attractions
· Measuring older adults’ fitness levels for everyday tasks
· Serving food and drink
· Creating a spreadsheet to solve problems.
· Using Digital Communication Technologies
Candidates should possess varied industry experience in areas advantageous to our students, holding the ability to transfer working knowledge to a classroom setting effectively. A teaching qualification is desirable but full teaching training will be offered to the successful candidate.
