Digital Print Technician Job Description Our Head Office in Enderby is the heartbeat of Next, comprising hundreds of various departments across all areas. Within the Next Technology area sits Reprographics, a small but modern in-house print facility that serves the Head Office, Warehouse and Store facilities. We work closely with our colleagues at South Elmsall to provide high quality fast turnaround graphics to support the needs of our internal customers. We are not limited to paper and boards, we also print onto fabrics and garments. To add to this we support an internal fleet of photocopier devices across the campus. The role is based at the Head Office site in Leicester, but there will be a requirement to visit our distribution sites, especially in the first 6-12 months of the role so a full UK driving license is required. The role We’re looking for our next Digital Print Technician to join the Head Office Reprographics team. Duties are varied but will include: • Liaising with customers on briefs and offering advice on different print projects. • Preparing files for print. • Printing of both small and large format files across a range of different substrates and then using suitable finishing techniques/machines. • Scheduling work and annotating print jobs for our print technician colleagues based at South Elmsall. • Some basic Photocopier maintenance will also be expected to keep machines clean and running well. • Stock ordering, rotation and replenishment across our department. • This role operates on a 9am - 5pm working week. About You You’ll have previous experience within a similar role and ideally have knowledge of Print Management Software and working to KPI’s as well as the following: • Experienced with artworking files for print using Adobe Creative Suite. • You’ll be able to work on your own initiative, and be flexible in your working approach to allow for busy periods. • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. • Experience with Google Sheets, Docs and Gmail. • Have some digital print experience previously on both small and large format presses. • Experience with Manual Handling in a previous role. You’ll be doing all this from our Head Office campus.
