Senior Cost Controller (PSC), Northampton
Wood Digital Consulting (DC) is recruiting for a Senior Cost Controller to support our UK projects.
The role involves preparing and reporting project cost budgets, tracking, managing, and reporting project expenditure to ensure robust control throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include developing project budgets, tracking actual and forecasted costs, and generating detailed and accurate cost reports in accordance with contractual requirements and Wood policies.
The position supports the management and development of the Cost team, oversees project budgets, and manages cost documentation. The Senior Cost Controller may act as the focal point for multiple project scopes and is expected to identify best practices and promote continuous improvement within the team.

This is a hybrid role, based anywhere in the UK, with expected mobility and travel to client sites and face-to-face meetings as required.
Applicants must be able to pass the HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.
Minimum qualifications include a relevant technical or business degree (ISCED level 6, e.g., Bachelor's) or equivalent vocational training and industry experience.
Knowledge, skills, and experience required:
* Relevant cost experience
* Proficiency with cost software, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management
* Understanding of Project Execution Procedures for Cost Management, including Change Management
* Knowledge of WBS & CBS structures and project reporting capabilities
* Ability to develop project cost budgets and change estimates
* Ability to prepare detailed cost reports
* Understanding of change management, cost, and schedule processes
* Experience with earned value management, variance analysis, and scenario planning
* Solid understanding of project management principles and techniques
* Knowledge of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning, and Risk Analysis & Management
